Safer Internet Day was an invent promoting Google's digital literacy curriculum in an arcade-like exhibit. The exhibit consisted of several installation-based games. I worked on "It's Cool to Be Kind" (shown at 01:15), which hosts up to 4 players at the table. In this game, bullies spawn at the center of the table and target a player. It's up to everyone else to send kindness to send the bullies away.
My game utilized Unity Photon Networking to communicate between the 4 Pixelbooks, the table computer, and the hardware plungers.
This shows the four player kiosk with a large LED display.
This shows a portion of the screen used to display instructions and feedback to the players. These were individual Unity apps deployed to Pixelbooks.
This is an overview of the graphics displayed on the table. The purple gems are the bullies and the players send each other kindness.
